Our Story
Cleaning Concepts Plus was founded in 2004 by owners Derrick and Shemelia Ervin. What started as a small family operation in Birmingham has grown into a full-service commercial cleaning company serving facilities across the metro — and it is still owned and run by the same family today.
Twenty-one-plus years in this market means we have cleaned just about every kind of building the Birmingham area has to offer: downtown office towers with badge access and freight elevators, medical and professional suites along Highway 280, warehouses and distribution centers in the industrial corridors, churches, schools, and retail centers from Hoover to Trussville. We know the red clay that tracks into every lobby from March through May, the pollen that coats entry glass every spring, and the traffic patterns that decide when a crew can get in and out of your building.
That history matters operationally, not just as a number on a page. Our cleaning programs are built from two decades of walkthroughs in these exact building types — which soils need which chemistry, which floors can take which machines, and which schedules actually hold up against a real facility's shipping windows, patient hours, or Sunday services.

What We Do
Most of our work is recurring: commercial janitorial programs and office cleaning on nightly, weekly, or custom schedules for buildings across Birmingham, Hoover, and the surrounding metro. That is the backbone of the company, and it is where most client relationships start.
Beyond the daily work, we run the industrial and specialty services those same facilities need throughout the year: warehouse and industrial cleaning around active operations, hard-floor care including machine floor scrubbing and strip-and-wax refinishing, commercial carpet cleaning, window cleaning, and pressure washing for storefronts, sidewalks, and dumpster pads.
We also handle the one-time and project work: post-construction cleaning for contractors and owners at turnover, and sanitization and deep cleaning when a facility needs more than its regular program.
